Omron temperature controllers are used for tracking the production or activities in various industries. Temperature control systems are commonly employed in the manufacturing of plastic extruder and injector, thermoformer machines, packaging machinery, a milk processing facility, food storage and blood bench items. Here is a short overview of many uses for the temperature control within the industry:
- Heat Treat/Oven
Temperature regulators are used in ovens and heat treatment systems in furnaces, ceramic ovens, boilers, and heat exchangers.
In the packaging environment, machinery with seal bars, adhesives, hot melting features, threshold tubes or mark applicators must be running at defined temperatures and time. These processes are strictly regulated by temperature controls to ensure the production of a high quality product.
- Plastics Products
In the plastics industry, temperature control of portable chillers, hoppers and dryers, and molding and extrusion equipment is common. In extruding machinery, temperature regulators are used to accurately track and regulate the temperatures at various crucial points in plastics production.
Temperature sensors are used in the healthcare industry to enhance precise temperature regulation. Temperature control equipment comprises kitchens, autoclaves, incubators, cooling systems and chambers for crystallization, and measurement chambers in which specimens may be processed or tests conducted at a specified temperature.
- Food and water
Through food processing technologies include brass, sterilizing, and temperature regulated cooking and baking ovens. The controllers regulate temperature and/or time of process to ensure optimum performance.
Components of Temperature Control System
Both controls have many different pieces. Initially Controls provide inputs. The inputs are used to measure a variable within the controlled process. In the case of a temperature regulation device the calculated component is temperature.
The temperature controls will provide several types of feedback. The form of the appropriate input sensor and signal may vary according to the regulated technique. The main input sensors are typically the thermocouples, RTDs as well as the vector inputs such as mV and mA. Typical standardization of case J, K, T, R, S, B, & L thermocouples; The controls can have to be modified to consider an RTD as a temperature sensing. The regular RTD is a platinum sensor of 100 tonnes.
Unless the controller is not, other sensors such as friction, level or flow sensors that obtain the voltage or current signal at a mili-volt / volt / milliamp scale. Usually the reference voltage levels are 0 to 5VDC, 1-5VDC, 0-10VDC, and 2-10VDC. Processors may also be configured from the sensors to tolerate 0-50mVDC, 10-50mVDC mv. In example, controllers may even support milliamps such as 0 to 20mA, or 4 to 20mA.
A controller typically contains a function for detecting fault or missing sensor input. This is called sensor failure detection. This uncovered failure can cause the controlled equipment to suffer considerable damage. This function allows the controller to interrupt the cycle automatically in the event of a rupture.
Each controller each has an output and inputs. All data may be used to monitor a device, such as switching on a heating or cooling mechanism, activating an alarm, or passing the process value to or recording the programmable logic controller (PLC). The warning system may be used for various items.
